The methods to use Dip have changed over the years, beginning with the way that started the term “Dipping”. As we discussed before, the first method was to take a chewed stick and dip it into a tube of dry snuff. In fact, George Weyman’s Copenhagen was used in a similar way but instead of using a stick, users would take a pinch and rub it on the gums. In the early 1900’s, smokeless tobacco users would simply take a pinch of the tobacco and place it in the lower cheek, between the cheek and gums. Flash to today and the popular place to place a pinch is in the from of the lower lip. |
