Husky is a relatively new brand on the Dip scene being released in the late 1990’s by US Tobacco. But, the tradition of Dip making goes back over 175 years. Husky’s roots can be traced back to 1822 and a tobacconist named George Weyman in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Weyman saw a need for a smokeless tobacco that could be used by farmers out in their fields. Back then, the most popular ways to enjoy tobacco was either smoking it with a clay pipe or, by using dry nasal snuff. |
