Tradition

Copenhagen was, and still is, the most popular, and most recognizable brand name in the US and virtually kicked off the smokeless tobacco world as we know it today. Husky is the product of 150 years of smokeless tobacco tradition and is pretty much made the same way Copenhagen is. To start, a variety of different tobaccos from states like Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and the Carolinas are picked and sun dried. After drying, the tobacco is hung in large curing barns where smoldering fires made from either Oak or Hickory sawdust produce smoke that permeates the tobacco leaves. This fire curing process can last for up to 12 weeks and is what gives Husky it’s unique flavor that’s only found in American Smokeless tobaccos.
